Try this Tuesday tip

Morning. It's Gillian from Jilly Mac.  So, as it's Tuesday, I wanted to share a tip with you.

And this is really, really useful for those of you that know you could be more productive with your work time.

You might be feeling you get distracted?

Do you prioritise less important tasks to do first?

Do you put off what you like the least?

Do find you are rushing and feeling like you have no time?

STOP Procrastination

With this handy way to get organised.

You may have heard of the Eisenhower matrix but have you put it into practice?

Here are a few tips to get started:

💎Step 1 – Write out your task list, this is essentially a brain dump of all those things to do that are spinning in your head. Often this can make us feel overwhelmed, bogged down and uncertain of where to begin. This feeling works against our productivity so write it all out and lighten the load

💎Step 2 – Add to your top left box for “Important and Urgent items.” This is for tasks that we must get done either today or tomorrow that are important to our business.  An example for this category is preparation for tomorrows client meeting.

💎Step 3 – Add to your top right box for “Important and Less Urgent items.” This is for tasks we must get done later than today and tomorrow but are key to our business.  These tasks can be scheduled.  An example for this category is preparation for a talk next week.

💎Step 4 – Add to your bottom left box for “Less important and Urgent items.” This is for tasks that must get done today or tomorrow but are less key to our business.  These tasks can be delegated.  An example for this category is supporting a colleague with knowledge we can share to help them complete their task or a task that needs to be completed but can entrusted to another person.

💎Step 5 – Add to your bottom right box for “Less important and Less urgent items.” This is for tasks that we could easily not to in our working day as they are less key to our business and less important.  These tasks can be avoided.  Examples for this category are scrolling Facebook, watching Netflix or chatting to a friend.
